Dr VIMALATHITHAN Graduated from Thanjavur medical college and did M.S General Surgery from Stanley Medical College. He did his Surgical Oncology training from Prestigious Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology, Bangalore and also completed surgical oncology from Diplomate of National board of examinations.
- He is a Member of Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh
- He did his Clinical Observership at Nebraska Cancer Center,Omaha USA.
- He did fellowship in minimal access surgery.
- He was trained in handling complex cancer surgeries and organ conserving cancer surgeries.
- He was worked as Consultant at SIMS Hospitals, Vadapalani Chennai and also worked as Assistant Professor in Surgical Oncology at SRMMC.
- He was worked as Consultant Surgical Oncologist at Gleneagles Global Health City Chennai.
- He believes in honest and ethical patient care and practice of Evidence Based Medicine in the field of oncology.
- His field on interest – Gynaecological Cancers & HIPEC therapy ,Head &Neck cancers, Breast Oncology ,Laparoscopic Cancer surgery & Organ conserving cancer surgery ,Urological and Thoracic cancers .
- He has given many awareness talk to the publics and also particularly focusing on early detection of cancer and cancer prevention.
- Currently working as Consultant Surgical Oncologist at Apollo Cancer Center at Teynampet and also at Apollo speciality Hospital ,OMR.Chennai
